ABOUT GO RED POR TU CORAZÓN

Go Red Por Tu Corazón celebrates the energy, passion and power we have as Hispanic women to band together to wipe out heart disease, the No. 1 cause of death for Latinas.

Thanks to the participation of millions of people across the country, the color red and the red dress now stand for the ability all women have to improve their heart health and live stronger, longer lives and be there for their families.

History of Go Red

Since 2004, Go Red Por Tu Corazón has captured the energy, passion and intelligence of women to work collectively to wipe out heart disease – the No. 1 killer of women. Go Red Por Tu Corazón engages women — and the men who love them — to embrace the cause.

History of AHA

Founded in 1924, the American Heart Association (AHA) is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke. While these diseases, America’s No. 1 and No. 3 killer, continue to claim nearly 870,000 lives a year, today the AHA is more committed than ever to combating all cardiovascular diseases.
